For obvious reasons, Vertigo have released another trailer for the follow-up to the Gareth Edwards movie Monsters. If you don’t know the story, British filmmaker Gareth Edwards (my personal hero!) created the movie 2010 Monsters completely off his own back, wrote it, directed it, edited and, did all the CG for it and due to its success, caught the eye of Warner Bros. who got him to make their new low-budget movie called Godzilla (out now!)!!
Although Edwards only has an Executive Producing credit for Monsters: Dark Continent, we’re still very excited to see what new director Tom Green will do with the project. The first trailer was released August last year and we’ve not really seen much since but the sequel us set to hit UK cinemas September 26th. The cast includes Johnny Harris (London To Brighton, Welcome To The Punch) Sam Keeley (What Richard Did) and Joe Dempsie (Game Of Thrones).
Seven years on from the events of Monsters, the ‘Infected Zones’ have spread worldwide. Humans have been knocked off the top of the food chain, with disparate communities struggling for survival. American soldiers are being sent abroad to protect US interests from the Monsters, but the war is far from being won.
