Universal Pictures has pulled back the curtain on the full official trailer for ‘Michael,’ the highly anticipated biopic that brings the life and legacy of Michael Jackson to the big screen. More than a celebration of chart-topping hits, the film promises an intimate, cinematic portrait of one of the most influential artists the world has ever known.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua, ‘Michael’ traces Jackson’s journey from the moment his extraordinary talent was discovered as the lead singer of The Jackson Five, through to his evolution into a visionary solo artist driven by an unrelenting ambition to become the biggest entertainer on the planet. The trailer leans into that transformation, capturing both the vulnerability and the ferocious creative hunger that defined his rise.
Audiences are offered a front-row seat to Jackson’s life beyond the spotlight, while also revisiting some of his most iconic early solo performances. The film balances the spectacle of his artistry with a deeper look at the man off-stage, positioning ‘Michael’ as both an epic musical experience and a personal origin story. As the trailer makes clear, this is not a greatest-hits montage but the beginning of the legend as it truly formed.
The film stars Jaafar Jackson in his feature film debut, stepping into the role of his uncle with a striking presence. He is joined by Nia Long, Laura Harrier, and Juliano Krue Valdi, alongside Miles Teller and two-time Academy Award nominee Colman Domingo.
