Little is known of the film, except that it will be made in the style of a telenovela (popular Latin America television serial dramas) and will feature English subtitles.
The big screen directorial debut of Matt Piedmont (who has previously worked with Ferrell on Saturday Night Live and the web series Funny or Die), this looks like an interesting change of pace for the comedy actor and I’m intrigued to see him in a Spanish-language comedy, starring alongside a predominantly Latino cast.
