After an apparent victory over the previous film’s giant octopus (oops, spoilers), Mega-Shark has gone and done it again – this time landing itself in battle with Crocosaurus.

Shamelessly plagiarising the hallowed heights of Alien vs. Predator with the tagline “whoever wins…we lose”, Asylum’s Mega-Shark vs. Crocosaurus stars Jaleel White (TV’s Family Matters) and Gary Stretch (Dead Man’s Shoes) alongside Star Trek: Voyager’s EMH, Robert Picardo – previously seen in Looney Tunes: Back in Action.

Should you find the sequel, on the cards since Mega-Shark vs. Giant Octopus’ trailer set the internet alight, a suspension of disbelief too far, just keep in mind the fanciful foes originally touted by the previous film’s star Deborah Gibson.

“I haven’t seen the final edit, but we did do a version that leaves the door open for a potential sequel, because God knows what else is in the ocean. I thought maybe a seahorse? Maybe a 500-foot lobster would be good. But yes, there is the potential for a sequel, and I would absolutely love it.”

Directed by David Ray, the sequel is set for release on December 21, 2010. Merry Christmas.
