Matt Damon and Steven Soderbergh are set to reunite once more on the new HBO Max crime thriller ‘No Sudden Move’.

Having previously worked together on the ‘Ocean’s’ trilogy, ‘Behind the Candelabra’ and ‘The Informant,’ Damon’s role here is expected to only be that of a cameo and not a major part.

Set in 1955 Detroit, the story centres on a group of small-time criminals who are hired to steal what they think is a simple document. When their plan goes horribly wrong, their search for who hired them – and for what ultimate purpose – weaves them through all echelons of the race-torn, rapidly changing city.

Ed Solomon wrote the screenplay for and which Casey Silver is producing.

Damon was last seen in Le Mans ’66 opposite Christian Bale, his upcoming projects include Ridley Scott’s ‘The Last Duel’ and the drama-thriller ‘Stillwater’.
