The first look image of Margot Robbie as Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has been released by Sony Pictures.

Tarantino has had no trouble in attracting a pretty impressive cast for the film. Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Burt Reynolds, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Madsen and Tim Roth star, as well as Damian Lewis, who will play the iconic actor Steve McQueen; Dakota Fanning is set as Squeaky Fromme, the Manson disciple who later tried to assassinate President Gerald Ford; Nicholas Hammond will play director Sam Wanamaker; and Emile Hirsch is Jay Sebring, the Hollywood hairstylist who was one of four victims in the Tate murders on Cielo Drive.

The story focuses on a male TV actor who’s had one hit series and his looking for a way to get into the film business. His sidekick— also his stunt double—is looking for the same thing. The horrific murder of Sharon Tate and four of her friends by Charles Manson’s cult of followers serves as a backdrop to the main story.

The script is being compared to Pulp Fiction, taking Tarantino back to his heyday with a story that “has heart and a strong commercial appeal,”

The film, which is said to cost in the region of $100 Million, will be released worldwide on August 9, 2019. Opening on the 50th anniversary of the day that the Manson family committed the LaBianca murders and the day after Tate was killed.

The film has been scheduled for an August 9 2019 release.
