The fun new trailer for The Man Who Invented Christmas has arrived with Dan Stevens leading the way with his portrayal of the much-loved author, Charles Dickens.

Based on a screenplay by Susan Coyle, the film takes us on an odd journey into 1843 to witness the literally genius at work as he creates his much-loved characters including everyone’s favourite Christmas character, Ebenezer Scrooge, portrayed here by Christopher Plummer.

The trailer gives us a first look at Stevens as Dickens in a fairytale wonderland of literary imagination as he conjures up Scrooge under pressure to get his latest work of genius ready before his deadline.

In 1843, author Charles Dickens sets out to write and self-publish a novel that he hopes will revive his career. He spends the next six weeks bringing Ebenezer Scrooge, Tiny Tim and other classic characters to life in “A Christmas Carol.”
