Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel is one of the highlights of the summer season for many of us. News that WB had entrusted the cinematic reins of Superman to a visual master such as Snyder was complemented by the news that Christopher Nolan was overseeing the project.
Snyder’s key task is drawing together a new vision of Superman’s world, this extends from the doomed planet of Krypton, to Smallville and beyond. Over the next few days we’ll be talking with the director and key members of the cast about this new iteration of the Man of Steel.
Our friend James Kleinmann went to the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank California to talk to Ayelet Zurer, who plays Superman’s mother Lara Lor-Van, to talk about her relationship with the source material and how Zack Snyder is looking to redefine Superman for a modern audience.
