Made in Italy

Made in Italy is the charming directorial debut from actor James D’Arcy, enriched with a profound sense of authenticity, given the theme of grief, and handing roles to both Liam Neeson and his son Micheal Richardson, who of course had to go through the tragic passing of wife and mother, Natasha Richardson.

To mark the film’s release, which does balance the more poignant themes with a light touch and comedic undercurrent, we had the pleasure of speaking to D’Arcy as he comments on his first experience stepping behind the lens, and explains why he was nervous about presenting the screenplay to leading star Neeson.
