Blade Runner 2049 actress, Mackenzie Davis, is currently in talks to star in Tim Miller’s Terminator reboot.

It is believed that Davis would play a soldier-assassin on a mission. A human character in a movie that once again sets up the battle between (wo)man and machine. If talks go smoothly, Davis will be joining Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger on the cast.

The Terminator producers have been undergoing an intense and so far had no luck in the search for Latina for the story’s main role, according to sources. The pivotal role is said to span all three movies of the intended trilogy. It is unclear how many movies Davis’ deal calls for.

Although plot details have so far been kept under wraps, back in October 2017, Schwarzenegger gave a little insight into the vision of the reboot and hoping to take it back to basics.

“I think [James] Cameron and Tim [Miller] came up with a concept where they can continue on with the T-800 but make a whole new movie,” he said. “What they are doing now with this one is basically to just take a few very basic characters, like Linda Hamilton’s character and my character, and dismiss everything else. Just move away from all these rules of the timeline and other characters.”

Miller and Cameron’s production will see the return of Linda Hamilton to the franchise after she was last seen in 1991’s Terminator 2: Judgement Day, she will be reprising her role as Sarah Connor.

The forthcoming untitled “Terminator” movie will open in cinemas in 2019.
