Entering its fifth year the 2010 London Korean Film Festival has one of its strongest line ups yet and we’ll be reporting from the festival, bringing you reviews and interviews. The festival runs from the 5th to the 23rd of November and booking information can be found here.

Over the past ten years Korean cinema has increasingly crossed over into the mainstream Western conscious beginning with films such as Joint Security Area and Shiri and has continued with the breakthrough hits such as The Host, Old Boy and The Good, The Bad and The Weird and Mother.

The London Korean Film Festival has been the first to show many of the best films from Korea in the UK over the past five years. The festival is divided into strands that focus on Contemporary Film, Animation and a yearly retrospective. This year sees the screening of recent films including Fantastic Fest favourite I Saw The Devil, The Man From Nowhere, Bedevilled, Blades of Blood, The Housemaid and many more. Head over to the official site to check out the full line up.

This year’s retrospective will focus on the career of Jang Jin and will include screenings of Guns and Talks, Good Morning President, Someone Special and Murder, Take One. Jang Jin will also be attending the festival for Q&As after Guns and Talks and Someone Special.

Embedded below is the very stylish trailer for the festival and to whet your appetite further I have also embedded a selection of trailers from the films screening.
