LittleBigPlanet 2 is now officially 100% complete, with SCEE confirming a UK release date of January 21.
Media Molocule originally delayed the game’s release from November to January but have been working “like powered-up space ninjas”, and now SCEE’s Alex Pavey confirmed the good news.
“I’m pleased to confirm that LittleBigPlanet 2 has now ‘gone gold’,” he said. “The new game is 100% finished, and will be released on Wednesday 19th January 2011 across Europe, Thursday 20th January in Australia and New Zealand, and Friday 21st January in the UK and Ireland.”
Fans of the original will be chomping at the bit to get involved with the platformer/puzzler/FPS/God game’s new features, and they’ll be happy to hear its first official review has scored Gold with the Official Playstation Magazine, who awarded it 10/10 and commented that it’s a “hugely improved sequel.”
