Warner Bros. has unveiled a teaser trailer for Lee Cronin’s ‘The Mummy,’ and it signals a chilling rebirth of one of horror’s most enduring legends. Fresh from the record-setting success of ‘Evil Dead Rise,’ writer-director Lee Cronin turns his gaze to the desert sands.

The trailer opens in haunting stillness before revealing the disappearance of a journalist’s young daughter, who vanishes into the desert without a trace. Eight years later, the impossible occurs. She returns. What should be a moment of relief and reunion quickly curdles into something far more disturbing, as the fractured family begins to realise that whatever came back from the sands is not the child they lost.

The film stars Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, and Natalie Grace, alongside Veronica Falcón. ‘The Mummy’ is written and directed by Lee Cronin and produced by genre powerhouses James Wan, Jason Blum, and John Keville.
