Amazon MGM Studios has announced that Kiernan Shipka and Cole Sprouse are set to lead the upcoming romantic comedy ‘Goodbye Girl,’ produced by Gulfstream Pictures and directed by Oran Zegman.
The film centres on Jess (Shipka), a professional heartbreaker whose unusual job involves ending relationships on behalf of people too timid to do it themselves. When she’s hired by a nervous bride to dump her unsuspecting groom (Sprouse) just days before the wedding, the plan unravels spectacularly. Instead of a clean emotional exit, Jess finds herself tangled in an unexpected romance that threatens to upend both their lives.

Gulfstream also contributed financing for the feature.
Production on ‘Goodbye Girl’ is scheduled to begin this week in New Orleans.
