Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson are officially reuniting on screen in ‘Happy Hours,’ a new character-driven film trilogy that explores love, loss, and reconnection across time.

Holmes, who also penned the script, will direct and star in the trilogy alongside Jackson, in a sweeping story of two people whose deep bond is tested by life’s unpredictable turns.

The trilogy is produced by Maven Screen Media and Bond Street Station, in association with Crown Productions and STX Films. Production on the first film kicks off in New York City this summer, with the second and third instalments to follow closely.

Set against the bustling backdrop of modern life, the story follows two once-young lovers (played by Holmes and Jackson) who reunite as adults, each bearing the scars and wisdom of life lived—careers, family, heartbreak, and rediscovered joy. What begins as a chance reconnection slowly deepens into something more, as the pair navigate the complicated dance of adult relationships, ambition, and emotional resilience.

Joining the ensemble cast are Mary-Louise Parker, Constance Wu, Joe Tippett, John McGinty, Donald Webber Jr., Nathan Darrow, Johnna Dias-Watson, and Jack Martin.

Celine Rattray and Trudie Styler are producing for Maven Screen Media, alongside Peter Coleman and Paula P. Manzanedo for Bond Street Station. Annie Herndon will oversee the project for STX Films, with Jenny Halper, Sophia Pedlow, and Jackie Donohoe managing creative for Maven.
