With Star Wars: The Force Awakens just 84 days away, it appears as if Disney are kicking their marketing campaign to the next level with an incredible interactive video which takes the viewer through Jakku, a planet laden with the remains of Imperial ships from an earlier battle. It’s also where Rey (Daisy Ridley) will call home in the highly anticipated movie.

Using your mouse, it’s possible to pan the camera around and explore the landscape of Jakku, a unique interactive experience which is exclusive to Facebook. The video is part of a new campaign by the social networking site for a new series of videos which will allow the viewer to, “hold up your phone and the 360 video will follow you as you turn, looking around, to experience things from all over the world like never before.” It’s a pretty cool idea, eh?

Starring original cast members Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker and franchise newcomers, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong’o and Max von Sydow, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to be released on December 17th.
