John Wick was an unexpected hit, and a sequel was given the green light shortly after the release of the first instalment. That movie’s co-director Chad Stahelski is going solo for the follow-up, while Keanu Reeves will obviously also make his return as the titular character.

Loads of new details have now been revealed about John Wick 2, and for starters, it’s been confirmed that the title will be John Wick: Chapter Two. The movie also has a new release date; on February 10th, 2017, it’s going to go up against Fifty Shades Darker, The LEGO Batman Movie, and The Mountains Between Us (that should be an interesting weekend).

It was previously confirmed that Bridget Moynahan, John Leguizamo, Lance Reddick, and Ian McShane will be returning from the first movie, while Common, Ruby Rose, Peter Stormare, and Laurence Fishburne have all been added to the sequel. Another detail revealed today is that the action will this time move to Rome, and Reeves revealed last year that John’s mission won’t revolve around another puppy getting killed, and that’s definitely a relief.

“To me there’s John Wick and then there’s John. You know, John is the married guy whose wife just died, and that five years of his life,” the actor said. “In [the sequel], John Wick’s past comes and infiltrates John’s life and John Wick, in a way, has to fight for John.”
