The first trailer has arrived today for the upcoming film from acclaimed director Wes Anderson, Isle of Dogs, which you can watch in all its glory below!

The film marks the second time the director has used stop-motion animation for one of his films after 2009’s Fantastic Mr. Fox and judging by the trailer, it looks like it’s another slam-dunk for the filmmaker.

And, as with Mr. Fox, Anderson has brought together an eclectic A-list cast to lend their voices to the film, which includes (deep breath) Bryan Cranston, Bill Murray, Scarlett Johansson, Greta Gerwig, Frances McDormand, Edward Norton, Jeff Goldblum, Courtney B. Vance, Liev Schreiber, Bob Balaban, Harvey Keitel, F. Murray Abraham and Tilda Swinton.

On the film’s announcement Fox Searchlight Presidents Nancy Utley and Steve Gilula said:

“Wes Anderson is one of the most talented filmmakers of his, or any other, generation… His ability to write smart and unconventional screenplays and then translate them into unique experiences on screen makes him not only a unique voice in film but one who can truly bridge the gap between independent films and cross-over hits. We are thrilled to be going on a journey into the newest world from the distinctive imagination of Wes Anderson.”

Here’s the synopsis:

Set in Japan, Isle of Dogs follows a boy’s odyssey in search of his dog, Rex.

Isle of Dogs is released on March 23rd, 2018.
