Mr. Turner hits UK cinemas today and our pal James Kleinmann got to interview the iconic British Director who helmed the project Mike Leigh.

We find out about why it was so important to see the paintings being created for the viewer as the movie progresses and what it was about Turner that made the movie so compelling. Leigh also talks about his own creative process comparing to that of Turner and what sort of access the filmmaker had to the original Turner collection.

We also get to hear from cast members Dorothy Atkinson and Marion Bailey on their role in the movie, what it was like working with Mike Leigh and what we can expect from this brilliant film. Our 4* review from Cannes is live here and our extended interview with Timothy Spall here.

Below are also our interviews with the cast and filmmakers from the London Film Festival premiere. Loads of Turner here to feast upon.
