Noah Baumbach is just as you imagine him to be.
In person, the director of so many recent classics is quiet approaching on shy. He’s known for making films that hipsters love, although anyone who watched this year’s While We’re Young will know that he might not necessarily subscribe to many of their ideals. We spoke with Noah while he was in the UK recently to talk about his latest film.
Mistress America follows Brook (Greta Gerwig) who bonds with her step-sister to be Tracy (Lola Kirke) as both search for meaning to their lives. Over the course of the interview, Noah revealed that he himself has once taken a picture of a meal, although he certainly hasn’t shared it over social media.
