In regards to blockbusters this year, it’s hard to imagine any being quite as accomplished as Matt Reeves’ Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, presenting a film that finds an incredible amount of intimacy and emotion in such a grandiose set-up. It therefore goes without saying, that we were somewhat excited about meeting the man at the helm.
Reeves discusses what it is about this franchise that has so much appeal, spawning a variety of movies across the past few decades. He also tells us how he went about balancing the intimate with the immense, how advanced performance capture is these days, and what his role will be on the forthcoming addition to this fledging franchise.
