There’s a certain exuberance and playful nature to Marjane Satrapi’s The Voices – and you only need to spend 5 minutes and 17 seconds in her company to see where that spirit derived from.

The affable, charismatic filmmaker, whose previous credits include Persepolis and Chicken with Plums, discusses why she became involved in this project, why she perceives it to be a sad movie, while commending her leading man Ryan Reynolds, who she fears is a victim of his own good looks.

The Voices is released on March 20th. You can read our review here, and watch our interview with star Gemma Arterton here.
