Posters for the Ben Affleck-directed drama The Town have been surfacing for the past week or so and now Trailer Addict have posted the international trailer for the film.
The films also stars Affleck who plays a career criminal who has to deal with feelings for a bank manager (Rebecca Hall) connected to one of his earlier heists, as well as steering clear of an FBI agent looking to bring him and his crew down.
Affleck’s directorial debut, Gone Baby, Gone, was the work of a confident first time filmmaker, who had the ability to coax some really strong performances out of his cast (Morgan Freeman, who sometimes has the tendency to phone it in of late, was outstanding). The Town features a fantastic ensemble including the likes of Mad Men’s Jon Hamm, Chris Cooper, Blake Lively, Pete Postlethwaite and current men of the movement, Jeremy Renner.
The film hits UK soil on 24th September, and judging by this trailer, I wouldn’t be surprised if it features in some way or another during awards season at the end of the year/beginning of 2011.
