As the slew of summer blockbusters begin to creep (well, smash) into cinemas, we will also soon get our first glimpse at some of the films from this year’s Sundance Film Festival and one of the festival’s hits was Ingrid Goes West, which was snapped up by NEON – and today the first teaser trailer for the film has debuted, which you can view below!

A comedy about our obsession with social media, the film stars is directed by Matt Spicer, who also co-wrote the script, and stars Aubrey Plaza (Legion), Elizabeth Olsen (Avengers: Infinity War), O’Shea Jackson Jnr (Straight Outta Compton), Wyatt Russell (Everybody Wants Some!!), Billy Magnussen (The Big Short) and Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol.2).

Here’s the official synopsis:

Following the death of her mother and a series of self-inflicted setbacks, young Ingrid Thorburn (Aubrey Plaza) escapes a humdrum existence by moving out West to befriend her Instagram obsession and LA socialite Taylor Sloane (Elizabeth Olsen). After a quick bond is forged between these unlikeliest of friends, the façade begins to crack in both women’s lives — with comically malicious results.

Ingrid Goes West opens in the US on August 4th. No UK release date has yet been set though it could potentially gets its debut at Sundance London in June. Stay tuned for the line-up later this month…
