Apple TV has released the tense and pulse-pounding trailer for the highly anticipated second season of ‘Hijack’, the hit thriller series led by and executive produced by SAG Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Idris Elba (Luther).
Season two plunges viewers into an all-new crisis — this time beneath the streets of Berlin. When a packed underground train is seized and its commuters taken hostage, authorities above ground scramble to save hundreds of lives as the situation spirals. At the centre of the chaos is Sam Nelson (Elba), thrust back into the heart of danger. With tensions rising inside the carriage and the outside world racing against the clock, every decision becomes a matter of life or death.
The upcoming season reunites the core cast, including Elba — who earned an Emmy nomination for his gripping season one performance — alongside Christine Adams, Max Beesley and Archie Panjabi. They’re joined by an impressive roster of new faces: Christian Näthe (Ballon, Soloalbum, Schule), Clare-Hope Ashitey (Seven Seconds, Top Boy, Doctor Foster), Lisa Vicari (Django, Dark), Toby Jones (Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Detectorists, Empire of Light), Karima McAdams (Dune: Prophecy, Deep State, Soulmates) and Christiane Paul (Counterpart, FBI: International, Parlement).
Created by George Kay (Lupin, Criminal) and Jim Field Smith (Criminal, Litvinenko), the new eight-episode season will premiere globally on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, with the suspense unfolding weekly until the March 4 finale.
