Today sees the release of Dreamworks Animation’s latest comedy adventure Mr. Peabody & Sherman which follows the time-travelling adventures of a sentient dog and his adopted human son, jumping across history on a quest to rescue Sherman’s schoolmate Penny who has been lost in time, and have some father/son bonding time as they do it.
We sat down with the film’s director Rob Minkoff, whose previous work includes a pretty classic film called The Lion King, to discuss the long development of the film, the history of the characters and bringing in audiences unfamiliar to the original cartoons.
