From time to time, we like to try something a little different here at HeyUGuys, and having spent more time than I’m sure I’d like to admit on sites like Sporcle, who have an excellent variety of user-made quizzes on movies and much, much more, I thought I’d give it a shot myself and see if I could successfully design my own film-related crossword.
After finding the right software to do it – much thanks to Across Lite for the interactive system below – all that was left to do was come up with a set of answers that would fit with each other, and then word the clues.
For this first attempt, I’ve tried to keep things fairly straightforward – to make things a little easier for me, but hopefully still a little stretching for you – and have set ‘Films of 2012’ as the theme.
So all of the answers below will somehow be related to a film that has been or will be released this year (with one film being a slight exception, in that it was released in the US this year, but was released in 2011 in the UK, and a handful of countries in 2010).
