The first trailer for Neil Marshall’s rebooted Hellboy (starring David Harbour in the titular role) has landed online.

Directed by Marshall, the film stars David Harbour as Anung un Rama / Hellboy, Milla Jovovich as The Blood Queen, Nimue, Ian McShane as Hellboy’s adoptive father and founder of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.) Trevor Bruttenholm, Sasha Lane as Alice Monaghan, Brian Gleeson as Merlin the wizard, Daniel Dae Kim as the Japanese-American military member of the B.P.R.D Ben Daimio, and Sophie Okonedo as the resident seer at the Osiris Club, Lady Hatton.

The comic’s creator, Mike Mignola recently spoke to Deadline and told them fans should be excited about the new reboot. Its origins are closer to the comic book than in previous versions.

“This is the first time I have been able to say honestly that I was on set and looking at something that looked like it jumped straight out of the comic. I never had that experience on any of the other stuff. There’s one scene in this movie where I was like, ‘Holy f—’ that’s pretty damn close – in the costumes and everything else – to a specific scene in the comics. That was a new experience.”
