Back in February it was announced that Harry Gregson-Williams would be scoring the forthcoming Prometheus sequel/Alien prequel Alien: Covenant. It made sense to follow up the work he did on Prometheus for director Ridley Scott, however a Facebook message to a fan revealed that the composer is now not attached to the film.

Gregson-Williams was Tony Scott’s composer of choice, and his work on the (usually war-themed) video games front is well known. Plus the man scored Arthur Christmas which is sublime, yet a million miles away from the loneliness of space.
