Critics may not have been particularly fond of the first film, but clearly the audiences’ enjoyment was enough for Grown Ups 2 to move ahead. And now Sony have debuted the summer comedy’s first trailer.
Lenny has relocated his family back to the small town where he and his friends grew up. This time around, the grown ups are the ones learning lessons from their kids on a day notoriously full of surprises: the last day of school.
Sandler is joined by an impressive ensemble once more, of old and new faces alike. Leading the way once more are Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade, and Salma Hayek, alongside Steve Austin, Steve Buscemi, Mario Bello, Maya Rudolph, Taylor Lautner, Milo Ventimiglia, and Andy Samberg.
Dennis Dugan (Grown Ups, Big Daddy) is behind the camera once more, directing from a script co-written by Sandler, Fred Wolf (Grown Ups), and Tim Herlihy (Happy Gilmore).
Grown Ups 2 will be released in the US on July 12th, followed by a 9th August UK release date. For now, here’s the first trailer to give you a taste of what to expect.
