Of all the blockbuster movies coming our way this summer, Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla is easily amongst the top few we’re most looking forward to seeing.
Having made his debut with the masterful Monsters, Edwards is returning to monster territory of an entirely different magnitude, yet all we’ve seen so far suggests he’s kept the same kind of intimacy that made Monsters so beautiful and brilliant.
Warner Bros. have been doing a great job of marketing the film so far, teasing just enough to get us all excited without revealing too much, and they continue in that vein tonight with this awesome new extended look.
An epic rebirth to Toho’s iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, and Sally Hawkins top the leading cast, with David Strathairn and the ever-brilliant Bryan Cranston completing things nicely.
Edwards directs from a script by Max Borenstein, with David Callaham developing the story.
Godzilla will be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on 15th May here in the UK, following a day later on May 16th in the US.
