6. Ghost = Jon Snow
This is already a pretty popular fan theory, but not one many people seem to like. I’m sticking to what I said about Jon staying dead (though that could change a little later in this feature…), but how about having him live on through Ghost?
Jon transferring his soul into his direwolf moments before death would “save” him in a way, but with no body to return to, this Ghost – a name which now takes on a very different meaning with this idea in mind – could take on a new role in the series.
Ultimately, Jon would become more animalistic and lose his true self, but seeing him attempt to continue his mission to stop what lurks in the North from reaching his home before that happens would be an compelling and interesting narrative.
If the R+L=J theory is meant to pan out, what better way to demonstrate Jon is a Targaryen than to have him link up with the Fire Priestess?
Regardless, I don’t see Jon or Dany’s respective stories ending in such a fashion. Nor Tyrion’s, for that matter. Though we’ve been fooled by this before (Ned Stark, Robb Stark, etc.), all three seem so integral to the plot that having them disappear or die would derail it completely.
No mention of Ser Jorah? What of his eventual change into a Stoneman?
About to watch the first episode of Season 6 so we’ll see whether Jon Snow does come back. I have a feeling it’ll be as a white walker or a Bobby Ewing shower scene :). Showing my age!
