French Tree of Life Poster is the Pitts!

Here’s something for those Terrence Malick fans out there who are still celebrating the news that his long-delayed new feature, The Tree of Life, is due to be released in the UK on May 4 – we’ve unearthed the French poster for the film.

It has a similar simplistic and intimate feel to the other recent image (also below) with one noticeable exception – star Brad Pitt’s head fills half the frame here!

This creative choice must partially due to marketing reasons, but the previous poster of the baby’s foot being held by adult hands is far more evocative and in tune with Mallick’s abstract film-making style.
