Brandon (Fassbender) is a 30-something man living in New York who is unable to manage his sex life. After his wayward younger sister (Mulligan) moves into his apartment, Brandon’s world spirals out of control.
Shame premiered at the 68th Venice Film Festival last week to overwhelming acclaim. Fox Searchlight will release the film in the US this year with a hefty Academy Award campaign.
Meanwhile, Momentum Pictures will unspool Shame in the U.K. early next year
