It’s been three years since Seth MacFarlane made his directorial debut with the hilarious adult comedy, Ted. Adult comedies are few and far between, and smart money says MacFarlane is on course for another win this summer with Ted 2.
Mila Kunis may well be absent from the sequel, at least in a leading role, so the film might be missing some of the charm Kunis brought to the table. But MacFarlane has of course brought Mark Wahlberg back for more, with Amanda Seyfried completing the leading line-up.
Universal launched the first teaser poster this week. And in anticipation of this Sunday’s Super Bowl, they’ve returned to deliver the first trailer.
Jessica Barth and Patrick Warburton are back once more following their roles in the original. Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, and John Slattery top the ensemble. Sam Jones is set to appear once more as Flash Gordon, and keep your fingers crossed for Mila Kunis turning up at least for a little bit somewhere along the way.
MacFarlane co-wrote the script with past collaborators Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild (Ted, Family Guy).
Ted 2 hits cinemas in the US on 26th June and in the UK on 10th July.
