First Proper Look At Battle: Los Angeles Aliens!

3

If you’re anything like me, you are thoroughly looking forward to Battle: Los Angeles and enjoying absorbing the posters, trailers and news that are emerging. Catch all of our news on this exciting looking film, right here.

These photos are a real treat therefore, showing a variety of shots of the alien critters featuring in the film. Of course we’ve caught glimpses of them during the assorted tailers, but generally they have been too quick to catch, or else out of focus in the background. We have some workshop models, production stills, a nice snap of a crispy-looking burnt victim in the make-up chair and some unpleasant-looking final models.

Some of the shots get a bit pixelated at larger sizes, so hopefully we’ll get some decent hi-res shots before too long. In the meantime, enjoy!

Dave has been writing for HeyUGuys since mid-2010 and has found them to be the most intelligent, friendly, erudite and insightful bunch of film fans you could hope to work with. He's gone from ham-fisted attempts at writing the news to interviewing Lawrence Bender, Renny Harlin and Julian Glover, to writing articles about things he loves that people have actually read. He has fairly broad tastes as far as films are concerned, though given the choice he's likely to go for Con Air over Battleship Potemkin most days. He's pretty sure that 2001: A Space Odyssey is the most overrated mess in cinematic history.

  1. Can never understand why your news stories never get (m)any comments. Its the best film news site out there – I used to be a AICN fan, but thats now turned into some crappy vanity/nostalgia trip for Harry Knowles. Heyuguys is the place I now get all my movies news. You need to get a community going!!

  2. Hi Simms,

It is an odd one. I see other sites with hundreds of comments. We get an awful lot of people coming to the site but commenting doesnt happen too often. I’ll have to think about how we get some more ‘community’ going.

Any tips, free free to share.

  3. There could be at least two significant reasons, that of timing of your stories and originality.

I have RSS feeds of all the major sites, and HeyUGuys often has the same stories with a half a day to 1 day lag, so people have already vented their views elsewhere.

Your original reporting, such as this one (I haven’t seen this one elsewhere) and the Tangled studio visit, should bring in the comments.

So, my friendly advice is to focus more on original stories.
