Ant-Man has begun shooting in San Francisco, and perhaps in a bid to beat any sneaky paparazzi to it, Marvel Studios have today released the first official image of Paul Rudd on set as Scott Lang.

A con-man and burglar, this is likely a look at the character before he meets Hank Pym and takes over as Ant-Man in a bid to save the world. Scott is not a bad guy and only turns to crime in order to help raise money for his sick daughter, so his journey that to superhero promises to be very interesting to see.

Other than that, this image doesn’t really tell us an awful lot about the movie, though it does appear as if Marvel will be taking full advantage of San Francisco’s beautiful scenery for the movie.

Directed by Peyton Reed (Yes Man), Ant-Man also stars Michael Douglas (Hank Pym), Evangeline Lilly (Hope Van Dyne), and Corey Stoll (Yellowjacket). It’s set to be released on July 17th, 2017.

Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.
