Liam-Neeson-in-Non-StopFollowing the success of 2011’s Unknown, which took just shy of 0m. at the box office, Liam Neeson is reuniting with director Jaume Collet-Serra this year to bring us another action-thriller, Non-Stop.

Production got underway in New York last month, and now EW have given us our first look at Neeson aboard the flight that will be at the centre of film.

“Bill Marks (Liam Neeson) is a burned-out veteran of the Air Marshals service. He views the assignment not as a life-saving duty, but as a desk job in the sky. However, today’s flight will be no routine trip.

Shortly into the transatlantic journey from New York to London, he receives a series of mysterious text messages ordering him to have the government transfer $150 million into a secret account, or a passenger will die every 20 minutes. What follows is a nail-biting cat and mouse game played at 40,000 feet, with the lives of 200 passengers hanging in the balance.”

Collet-Serra has assembled an impressive cast to star alongside Neeson, headed up by Julianne Moore, Scoot McNairy, Michelle Dockery, Corey Stoll, Anson Mount, Nate Parker, and Bar Paly.

Collet-Serra is directing from a script by John W. Richardson and Christopher Roach, with Joel Silver serving as producer, reuniting with the director and star after producing Unknown.

Non-Stop is currently without a release date, but here’s to hoping that we’ll be seeing it before the year’s end, maybe in a late October release window like Taken 2 had last year. For now, here’s our first look at Neeson in the lead.
