Late last month, The CW released the first official image of Grant Gustin as The Flash as filming on the pilot began. However, as the image showed him both only from the neck up and from the side, the majority of fans were still anxious to feel the suit in its entirety. Well, consider that wish now granted!

As you can see, a full shot of the iconic DC superhero in the Arrow spin-off has now been unveiled, albeit with a not so impressive lightning effect in the background. Other than that, it’s hard to find any real faults with the look they’ve created. It’s interesting though that he’s not quite as red as his comic book counterpart, a sign perhaps that Warner Bros. want a way for fans to distinguish this version of the character from the one they apparently intend to introduce in Batman Vs. Superman and Justice League!

The costume for The Flash was designed by three-time Oscar winner Colleen Atwood, who also designed the costume for Arrow and whose motion picture credits include Academy Awards for her work on Alice in Wonderland, Memoirs of a Geisha and Chicago, as well as seven additional Oscar nominations for films such as Snow White and the Huntsman, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Sleepy Hollow.

The Flash pilot is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and David Nutter (all of whom also executive produce Arrow). Nutter is directing from a script by Berlanti & Kreisberg & DC Entertainment Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns. The series also stars Jesse L. Martin, Tom Cavanagh, Danielle Panabaker, Rick Cosnett, Candice Patton, and Carlos Valdes.
