Disney+ has revealed the first look images from its highly anticipated upcoming drama series ‘The Testaments,’ offering a striking introduction to the world of Gilead’s next generation. The series—set to premiere April 2026 on Disney+ internationally—boasts a powerful ensemble cast including Ann Dowd, Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday, Rowan Blanchard, Mattea Conforti, Isolde Ardies, Shechinah Mpumlwana, and Birva Pandya.
Adapted from Margaret Atwood’s Booker Prize–winning 2019 novel, ‘The Testaments’ takes viewers back into the chilling dystopian theocracy of Gilead. Set years after the events of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale,’ the drama explores a new era of oppression, resilience, and rebellion through the eyes of young women who have known no life outside Gilead’s rigid, indoctrinated rule.
