The first piece of concept art has been released for Jon Favreau’s live-action/CGI hybrid The Jungle Book.

The Iron Man and Chef director is currently hard at work on the movie which is scheduled to be released on October 9th, 2015. This take on The Jungle Book is being released by Disney, but another version is also in the works at Warner Bros. – titled Jungle Book: Origins – with The Hobbit’s Andy Serkis attached to direct.

The description for the concept art offers up a synopsis for Disney’s Jungle Book, and it sounds like it will stick pretty closely to the classic tale: Mowgli, a man-cub raised in the jungle by a family of wolves, embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery when he’s forced to abandon the only home he’s ever known.

The cast of The Jungle Book includes Christopher Walken as King Louie, Giancarlo Esposito as Akela, Ben Kingsley as Bagheera, Lupita Nyong’o as Raksha, Idris Elba as Shere Khan, and Scarlett Johansson as Kaa.

Newcomer Neel Sethi is set to play Mowgli and is the only actor who will physically appear in the movie.
