Even though it is over a year away, our first image of the Muppet movie called THE MUPPETS has been released by Disney and Entertainment Weekly, this was first glanced last week but this is the clean version of this wonderful image.
The film stars Chris Cooper, Amy Adams and Jason Segal and will be released on December 25, 2011. The film was written by Jason Segal and Nicholas Stoller and will be directed by James Bobin.
In case you were wondering who that odd looking Muppet is in the middle, his name is Walter and is best friend’s with Segal’s character, Gary. Both guys are apparently big fans of the Muppets. According to the EW article, Walter’s “dream is to meet the Muppets and be around people who are like him.”
The movie will be about Gary and Walter reuniting the Muppets for a show in order to save the Muppet theater, which is in danger of being demolished.
