Ahead of the trailer reveal which is happening this Sunday night/Monday morning the eighth film in the Fast and Furious series has a new teaser, and a new name.
Titled Fast & Furious 8 here in the UK, it’ll be called The Fate of the Furious in the US, which is a less prosaic name for what now surely must be the final film in the car-zooming saga.
Vin Diesel leads the returning cast including Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky and Kurt Russell. But the cast doesn’t stop there… Charlize Theron is the film’s big bad along with Scott Eastwood and Helen Mirren. Which is pretty much the most badass cast you can get this side of an Estelle Getty and Brian Blessed buddy cop movie.
Straight Outta Compton’s F. Gary Gray is the man behind the camera, here’s the very first footage from his film – and it looks ridiculous.
