And then we saw the film, and laughed solidly for 90 minutes, realising that the studio’s decision to screen this early is built on a well-placed confidence – for this caper is as funny as any film we’ve seen this year.
To celebrate its release we sat down with the producer John Cohen (Despicable Me) to discuss this hilarious new film. Cohen tells us what it is about the app that they always felt would translate well to screen, and whether we may see a third production. Lastly he talks about the upcoming Garfield movie that he’s working on.
