The-Zero-Theorem-Terry-Gilliam-behind-the-scenesWe are coming ever closer to our latest cinematic rendezvous with Terry Gilliam as the UK release date for The Zero Theorem nears.

I caught it last year in the London Film Festival and it was a delightful return to a confused and contorted near-future dystopia, a cinescape familiar to Gilliamites. As the director readies himself for a new Python show and the press plunge for this film we have an exclusive look at a featurette comprising some neat behind the scenes footage and a cascade of talking heads expressing their feelings on working with the acclaimed director.

Certainly The Zero Theorem shares some themes with Gilliam’s best, the bureaucratic banality of the everyday and the nagging feeling that there’s something beautiful kept hidden away just out of reach are prevalent here, and Christoph Waltz is perfectly put-upon as the film’s lead.
