As one of best things about the original it was always appropriate for Elizabeth Banks to return for Pitch Perfect 2. However Banks also takes over the directing reins from Jason Moore for the sequel and the film becomes her feature debut following a couple of shorts and a segment in the rightly-maligned Movie 43.
