A familiar face from Captain America’s corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will return in Agent Carter, with the studio confirming today that British actor Dominic Cooper will reprise the role of Howard Stark.

The series will air in 2015 between the first and second halves of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s second season, and many fans expected to see Tony Stark’s father return after a surprise cameo in the Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter short film which was included on the Iron Man 3 Blu-ray and helped make this series a reality.
