Over the past few years, Disney has become more dominant than ever before by adding the likes of Marvel Entertainment and Lucasfilm to their already impressive roster of properties.

Throw in their own live-action and animated offerings (not to mention Pixar and TV channels like ABC and ESPN), and it’s easy to see why the company continues going from strength to strength. However, according to a new report, they may be about to add Netflix to that.

The world’s most popular and profitable online streaming service, it appears as if AT&T’s recent acquisition of Time Warner may have led to some sort of sale being considered, especially given the pre-existing relationship between the two which has seen all future Star Wars movies added to Netflix and their collaboration with Marvel for The Defenders shows.

There’s also talk of current Netflix CEO Reed Hastings replacing Bob Iger as Disney CEO once he steps down in 2018, and if both that and this deal were to happen, Disney’s entire catalogue of movies and TV shows being added to the service seems like a guarantee.

That would make Netflix more popular than ever and gives Disney yet another platform with which to make a huge amount of money. Will it happen? For now, we’ll have to wait and see.
