He was instantly recognisable as Arnold Jackson, whose ‘What you talking ’bout Willis?’ catchphrase has long since passed into the pop culture currency, and in the twenty four years since the show ended Coleman had been constantly working on various TV, movie and other acting projects, though none ever returned him to the heights of fame he enjoyed on the NBC show.

Reports suggest he suffered a brain haemorrhage after a fall at his Utah home and died earlier today. While he never escaped the double edged sword of his TV fame, that he is being remembered today for his life on screen, as opposed to off screen, is a good thing.

  1. Ohh, it is very bad news. He was best actor, not just by saying but he had proved this by his acting. It is very heart touching news, as he died in so small age. His fan will surely be shocked.
