Karyn Kusama’s Destroyer premiered at the 2018 Toronto Film Festival in Canada. The film stars Nicole Kidman, Toby Kebbell, Tatiana Maslany, (Bucky in the Avengers) Sebastian Stan, Scoot McNairy, Shamier Anderson and Bradley Whitford.
Much of the conversation was on the phenomenal performance of Nicole Kidman, and how this is a role audiences would not have seen her take on before. The film’s, often brutal, realism is noted and how Kusama took the story to task and brought it into brilliant life on screen.

PLOT:
Destroyer follows the moral and existential odyssey of LAPD detective Erin Bell who, as a young cop, was placed undercover with a gang in the California desert with tragic results. When the leader of that gang re-emerges many years later, she must work her way back through the remaining members and into her own history with them to finally reckon with the demons that destroyed her past.
